Earlier this month, well-known mobile camera maker GoPro launched a full recall of its first unmanned aerial vehicle (KAV) product, which was only two months after its official launch. However, for consumers, the return of hardware and wait for the refund process is quite tough. In order to soothe everyone's mood, GoPro decided to offer HERO5 Black to consumers in the United States as compensation. The recall involves about 2,500 Karma UAVs, users in the operation can easily encounter unexpected power-down failure (a variety of bombs).
It is unclear why Karma had a power failure.
Consumers in the United States will also receive a free HERO5 Black mobile camera (subject to the return of the complete unit and all accessories) on the basis of a full refund of the original machine.
