As with the original version of the magazine published a mixture of fiction and non fiction futurism: the first phase including Nancy Kreis Maureen Mcsi and Rich Larsen reports, space Ark Project and the story.

OMNI is reprinted by the original publisher, Penthouse Global Media. This magazine was first published by Penthouse Publishers Bob Guccione and Kathy Keeton in 1978, until the magazine was discontinued in 1998. Ownership of the company remained vague until 2013 when a company called Jerrick Media acquired the Omni archive acquired from Guccione Realtors - launched Omni Reboot magazine and hired author and musician Claire Evans As chief editor.

Evans left Omni Reboot in 2014, barely keeping up for years. Former Omni editor Pamela Weintraub eventually re-registered the magazine's logo, and Penthouse subsequently sued Jerrick Media for copyright and trademark infringement.
