The bottom aluminum panel has physical buttons to adjust the volume and input source, plus two USB ports to support FLAC-format music playback via USB.
Sony also redesigned the rear receiver unit to save space, compared with the previous generation to save 23% of the internal space, more convenient cable layout. Sony also said the new system responds more quickly and can react quickly when the vehicle is started.
The XAV-AX5000 will be available sometime in spring this year at a price unknown. For reference, the previous generation's retail price was $ 400.
