Specifically, these downloads were driven by emerging markets such as India, Indonesia and Brazil, all of which made a significant contribution to Google Play's total downloads of 10% year-over-year. It is worth mentioning that, in the fourth quarter, for the first time in India iOS and Android downloads exceeded the United States.
What applications are these new mobile users downloading? In the report, App Annie said that games, finance and personalization applications are the most numerous.
