According to Android Headlines, the company quoted an unnamed HTC insiders as saying the company will not launch its flagship product, the U12, at its big events, or any other product it might name. Instead, it will hold a separate event in the weeks following MWC.
HTC in the past few years has been out of chaos MWC situation, after all, U11 flagship announced in May last year. However, HTC's absence will certainly shake the hype of MWC, especially considering that LG is not yet ready to showcase its upcoming devices, and Huawei is reluctant to get most of the attention from Samsung. Samsung has issued an invitation letter to attend the MWC Galaxy S9 conference.
Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 SoC is expected to be featured in several flagship products this year, which means most flagship products will have similar specifications, just as last year.
