Rhee said that his goal is to coordinate all kinds of projects related to Alphabet and Internet of things or Internet of things, which covers any device that can access data online. Autopilot, home appliances equipped with virtual assistants and the latest weather sensors on the farm are emerging technology categories.

Leading cloud computing vendors including Amazon, Microsoft, Google and IBM all provide services to help companies analyze network data from Internet connection devices. However, Google's efforts are the most new.

After more than six years, Li Renzhong left Samsung in December and recently served as chief technology officer and director of software and services research and development. He was involved in the company's Knox security system, the Bixby digital assistant and the launch of the Samsung Pay mobile wallet.
