In order to show that Redmond, the giant company, attaches importance to the continued rise of AI ethics and trust, Nadella also announced last month the creation of an AI and ethical engineering and research (AETHER) committee.

For this reason, Microsoft had to give up sales because of concerns about AI ethics. Microsoft scientist Eric Horvitz pointed out at the ethical and AI K&L Gates conference at Carnegie Mellon University that "significant (AI) sales have to be abandoned."

However, as Microsoft stated that the company has never reached any deal with any existing customers, it means that the sales mentioned by Horwitz should only come from potential customers.

Microsoft explained more about AI ethics and the AETHER committee in its latest statement. "We believe it's very important to develop and deploy AI with responsibility. Microsoft has established the Aether Council to identify, research, and recommend policies, procedures, and best practices for AI's problems, challenges, and opportunities for human and social impact. ."

Now that AI has occupied a very important position in Microsoft, the company even hinted that it will launch an exciting drive hardware.
