Recently there are rumors on social networks that Lenovo's voting on the 5G standard Polar short code plan (which was led by a Chinese company) made a waiver at the voting conference on 5G standards held by 3GPP. Motorola teamed up with Qualcomm and did not support Huawei, a Chinese company, which ultimately led Huawei to lose with a narrow margin.

In response, the Lenovo Group sent a rumored statement to Tencent’s “First Line” that at the 3GPP-sponsored voting conference on the 5G standard, Lenovo voted on the Polar program for the 5G standard (the program was dominated by Chinese companies such as China Mobile and Huawei). Including Lenovo's Motorola Mobility, all voted in favor.

Lenovo Group also stated that it urges everyone not to believe in rumors. Lenovo has retained relevant legal rights for malicious rumors and pursued them in accordance with the law.

The following is the full text of the Legend Group:

"About Lenovo's Explanation in 3GPP Polling Events"

At the voting conference on the 5G standard organized by the 3GPP (Generation Partnership Project), Lenovo voted on the Polar project of the 5G standard (the plan was dominated by Chinese companies such as China Mobile and Huawei), including Motorola’s mobile subsidiary of Lenovo, which invested in Yes, yes.

We condemn any acts of ostracism. We also urge everyone not to believe rumors. For malicious sinners, we retain relevant legal rights and pursue them in accordance with the law.

Lenovo has always supported the development of China's 5G technology and will continue to work hard to promote the development of 5G technology and related products in the future.
