In the past few days, many Apple users discovered a WWDC “colored egg” through Siri. When we said to Siri, “Tell me about WWDC,” he would quipped that he will become “smarter.” And will "get a new home." So people speculate that this will be a "spoiler" for WWDC 2018, but after testing, this seems to be just a misunderstanding.
The news first came from the foreign media Apple Post. When they said in the report that they had said to Siri, "Hey Siri, tell me about things related to WWDC," Siri will answer "La La La, Siri is getting a new voice," "I'll have A shiny new home is not to say that it really shines, but that it is more interconnected and textured. "I don't want to boast, but by studying hard late at night, I will become smarter, just like I did before. It has always been done."
Obviously, Siri's answer here implies that it will have new voiceovers, support a better smart home experience, and be smarter because it will continue learning late at night. So Apple Post believes that Siri will evolve dramatically at this year's WWDC and HomePod will also support more features. After all, now, Siri's extremely limited functionality is responsible for the dismal sales of HomePod.
However, the Apple Post report did not take much time. Another media, 9to5mac, came up with a rumor. They said that Siri's previous answer was only a summary of WWDC 2017, not a spoiler for WWDC 2018!
At last year's WWDC, Apple introduced HomePod to us. Then after the meeting, Siri's answer to this question has become the same as above. It is only now being discovered by people. For example, “new voiceover” was described by Craig Federighi last year: “We used deep learning to create a novel and expressive voice for Siri.” For “new home”, it was natural to refer to HomePod's release at that time.
But the "smarter Siri" is fun, because Apple is always saying that Siri will become smarter, but every time it is mocked by reality, Siri's performance is very poor compared to other voice assistants.
If you really want to know what Siri thinks about this year's WWDC, you can ask "Siri, tell me about WWDC 2018" and it will only answer "Apple 2018 Global Developer Conference will be in 2018 Held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California from June 4th to 8th."
