Unlike autopilot, the automatic driving test still requires the driver to be on duty.
The head of China Railway General Department said that since March this year, the Liaoning section of the high-speed rail between Beijing and Shenyang under construction is in full swing.
The responsible person mentioned above introduced that the field test of the high-speed EMU automatic driving system CTCS3 ATO train control system carried out on the same day of June 7 is an important part of the comprehensive test of the key technologies of the intelligent high-speed railway. It will provide a large amount of data for the future high-speed EMU to automatically stop, start and operate at stations and line intervals. The test will continue until the end of September this year. At present, the test has completed technical documents release, laboratory testing, type test, test review and other preliminary preparation work.
