At the opening of the WWDC 18 keynote address, Cook made it clear that no hardware will be released on the day, but universal users and media are always able to find clues about new hardware in the system. For example, the iPad version of iOS 12 supports iPhone X gestures. Real Hammer has the full screen iPad Pro presence. And today there are new discoveries! Foreign media BGR found iPhone X Plus in its access record from iOS 12 devices!
BGR said that Apple has been testing iOS 12 since late February. Why do they know it? Because the Google Analytics tools allow them to see what systems are on the devices that access their official website. From the trend chart, it is easy to see that the frequency of iOS 12 devices accessing the BGR official website has significantly increased since June, because only Apple engineers can use iOS 12, but now many ordinary users also take advantage of it.
So BGR made a count of the iOS 12 devices that visited their website from February to May, and found hundreds of access records, and the resolution of these access devices could be seen. We found the iPhone X, the iPhone 8 / 8, the iPhone 7 / 7, the iPhone 6 / 6, the 6 / 6 P, the 12. 9 inch iPad Pro10. 5 inch iPad Pro and the iPhone SE.
But one device with a resolution of 414 x 896 caught their attention, unlike other iOS devices. The 414 x 896 here is not a pixel resolution, but a point resolution. The iPhone X points 375 x 812 8 Plus is 414 x 736, which is not as high as this device, so BGR speculated that the device was the iPhone X Plus!
This can also be derived from the screen ratio, the ratio of the aspect ratio of iPhone X is 812/375=2.165, this device is also 896/414=2.165, so it is definitely a full-screen device. If you convert the iPhone X Plus's point resolution, its pixel resolution should be 1242 x 2688 or 1080 x 2336.
Finally, BGR said that the device only visited their website twice in May, which makes it more convinced that this is the iPhone X Plus, because in May it was time for TSMC to start producing A12 processors for Apple, iPhone X. The Plus tester should also be distributed to developers in May.
