The "space navigator" has set up different task modules, which are divided into 3 difficulties, primary, intermediate and advanced, which include psychological games, physical challenges, and social ability testing. For example, after the simulation loses contact with ground control, driving a spaceship to return safely, eating and sleeping in a weightless environment, communicating with different languages and cultural backgrounds, and so on.

"this mobile app is designed to make it easy for anyone to participate," said Mazdak Sheikh, founder and chief executive of Space State. "We want to show everyone that space travel is not far from us and that astronauts are not superhuman," he said.

Nasir said that every user completes a challenge or task, and gets the corresponding points and takes part in the global ranking. They will take 12 of the best and go to Iceland for 10 weeks' space training next spring, with a lucky chance of getting a free trip to space.
