Starting from December of last year, WeChat paid a commission for the repayment of credit cards. Each user's cumulative monthly repayment amount in excess of RMB 5,000 was charged at 0.1% (minimum 0.1 yuan).

Some users who are sensitive to fees are therefore switching to platforms such as Alipay and PayPal.

According to the latest announcement issued by Tencent Customer Service, in order to properly balance costs and sustainable development, each repayment will be charged at 0.1% of the repayment amount starting from August 1. In other words, the previous 5,000 yuan fee-free basic quota will be cancelled.

In this case, users who use WeChat to pay still have a way to circumvent the fee, provided that they belong to the wealth management platinum and gold members. Or adhere to the "love of the investment plan", every month successfully transferred to 500 yuan and above, can continue to enjoy free credit card repayment.

At present, Alipay's policy is that the mobile phone client and other people's credit card repayments are free of charge. If they pass the computer, they are free. Others are charged at 0.2% each.
