YouTube has recently launched a new tool to ensure that the original video produced by users has been plagiarized. Now uploading to every video of YouTube, the system will detect and confirm whether the video content exists, or whether it is similar to other videos on the website. The system will scan the entire video, not just video clips.

The tool, named Copyright Match, will start to be the first to be open to subscribers over 100 thousand of the subscribers next week and will expand in the coming months. Once plagiarism is uploaded to YouTube, this tool will send a reminder to the originator. The originator can take corresponding measures, including contacting the plagiarism or asking YouTube to delete the plagiarized video.

However, this function is defined for the originator to be uploaded to the first user of YouTube, so it may be possible for the user to publish video on Vimeo or Facebook, and then others upload it to YouTube and be identified as an original. However, originators can protect their rights through YouTube Content ID.
