Starting from the second half of this year, the global telecom operators will gradually start the trial operation of 5G network, telecom equipment providers also launched a contest with each other. According to the latest news from foreign media, Finland NOKIA has won the largest 5G contract so far, which will provide us $3 billion 500 million in 5G equipment for the third largest telecom company in the United States.

The global telecom equipment market presents the Three Kingdoms pattern, namely, HUAWEI, Ericsson and NOKIA. NOKIA acquired Alcatel lucent earlier and further strengthened its strength.

Reuters reported that the order was placed by Deutsche Telecom's subsidiary.

It should be noted that T-Mobile used to be the third largest U.S. telecommunications company, with far fewer users than AT&T and Verizon. But a few months ago, T-Mobile and fourth-place Spring announced the acquisition.

If the merger is successful, the US telecom market will also appear in the Three Kingdoms, and the new T-Mobile company will have the ability to fight the two big giants in terms of user size and communication network.

Foreign media pointed out that the T-Mobile 5G equipment contract is crucial for NOKIA. In the past few years, investors are worried that the 5G network will be able to boost NOKIA's performance as a result of the global slowdown in demand for 4G devices, which has been in a difficult position.

A NOKIA executive said this is also NOKIA's largest 5G equipment order, in fact one of the largest orders in the company's history, and this cooperation also showed that the three quarter of this year, 5G began to accelerate to the market, the four seasons will also increase.

Before that, at & T and Verizon have announced the ambitious 5G network plan, and T-Mobile can not be weakened. The company also said it plans to launch 5G communications services in 30 cities in the United States in 2018. In April, the company said it had cooperated with NOKIA and Ericsson.

Whether Ericsson will receive T-Mobile 5G contract in the future is unclear. Ericsson has said it will participate in the 5G network in New York, Losangeles and Las Vegas.

At the beginning of this year, NOKIA has revealed that it will participate in the construction of 5G network in Dallas and other cities in the United States. But after Monday's purchase contract news, NOKIA did not provide more details, such as building the 5G network of T-Mobile in which cities.

In terms of global 5G network deployment, from the second half of this year to early next year, many cities in the United States will take the lead in putting into commercial use to promote early 5G equipment procurement. In the first half of next year, operators in Japan and Korea will also be commercially available. Later next year, Chinese operators are expected to launch 5G network trial business. Subsequently, operators in the Middle East countries may be commercially available in 2020.

T-Mobile and Sprint have had merger talks earlier, but failed. According to the US media, an important reason for the success of the merger talks this year is the 5G network.

As the two big US giants announced the 5G network plan, T-Mobile and Sprint realized that if it was hard to build a national 5G network and the two giant, merger was the best way out.

The merger is also seen by some media as T-Mobile's acquisition of Softbank's Sprint, Softbank will become a minority shareholder of the new company in the future.

The merger is currently under regulatory scrutiny, and T-Mobile and Sprint also say that the merger will help build a national 5G network in the United States and avoid the monopoly and Verizon monopolies.
