Acer Computer (Shanghai) Ltd. will replace a lithium-ion battery that meets the requirements for customers free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards for lithium-ion batteries within the recall.
Prior to this, Acer computer (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. announced the two recall plan in 2015. On April 30, 2015, Acer recalled a global recall of 33,4006 AC power lines for Acer and eMachines notebooks manufactured between September 2010 and June 2012 due to the risk of fire.
Subsequently, on October 10, Acer recalled the Linetek LS-15 notebook power cord produced between September 2010 and June 2012 worldwide. The number of the affected AC power lines in the mainland of China is 16787.
