Shape Detection initial attempt
The Shape Detection API is a feature that provides shape detection on the web and includes three features: face detection, barcode detection, and text detection, starting with the trial in Chrome 70.
There are two updates to the Web Authentication API related to the PublicKeyCredential type in Chrome 70.
The Credential Management API enabled in Chrome 51 defines a framework for handling credentials that contain the semantics for creating, getting, and storing credentials. It does this for two types of credentials: PasswordCredential and FederatedCredential. The Web Authentication API adds a third credential type, PublicKeyCredential, which allows web applications to create and use strong, encrypted proof and application credentials to authenticate users more rigorously. By default, the Chrome67 desktop version has the PublicKeyCredential type enabled, and in Chrome 70 it is also enabled by default on Android.
At the same time, macOS's TouchID and Android's fingerprint sensor are enabled by default for web authentication, which allowsDevelopmentPeople access the biometric authenticator through the PublicKeyCredential type of the Credential Management API.
