Sina Technologies News, Beijing Time, April 16, morning news, according to the US financial media CNBC cited technology website Thurrott reported that Microsoft is developing its own ear-in headphones to compete with AirPods. This adds another big company to the list of mainstream technology companies hoping to tap into the popularity of AirPods.

Thurrott reports that the product is currently codenamed

This also marks Microsoft's second attempt in the field of headphones, which will further position the company as a hardware manufacturer. In recent years, Microsoft has vigorously developed its Surface Laptop, Surface Pro and Surface Studio products to better compete with Apple.

Apple's IrPods has been popular since its launch. Other manufacturers seem to be interested in taking a share of the market, targeting people who don't already have Apple products.

Bloomberg wrote earlier this month that Amazon is also planning to launch an embedded headset similar to AirPods that allows users to communicate with Alexa, Amazon's smart voice assistant. Samsung recently announced plans to develop Galaxy Buds and join the competition.

Microsoft did not immediately comment on the news. (tours)
