Currently Google has allowed users to use manual methods atWindowsChrome's Dark mode is enabled on the 10 platform, but Google does not share the timeline and roadmap for pushing this feature to all Chrome users.
Google Community Manager said: "Hey, everyone. I can confirm that we have already pushed this feature to a small number of Chrome M74 users, and more users will use this feature in the near future. In my official help community I Already shared the same information, you also get more information there. Thank you."
The good news is that if you can't wait to enable the Dark theme on Chrome 74, you can force Dark themes in Chrome 74 Stable with just a few clicks. The whole steps are as follows:
1. Create a desktop shortcut for your browser (if you don't have one)
2. Right-click on Chrome's shortcut and click on Properties.
3. Under the target field, add "--force-dark-mode" description
If the above parameters do not work, the user can try the following command line. As shown in the following figure, there should be a space before inserting the following parameters.
Click the "Apply" button and restart it. It's worth noting that after using this method to activate the Dark theme, the Chrome browser will not follow the system settings for theme adjustments, and will always remain under the Dark theme.
