At the same time, the 3D XPoint memory chips used by Intel's AoTeng memory and SSDs are from the only factory in the US, which is a joint venture with Micron. However, as Intel sells all the shares of this factory to Micron, the production must come by itself. It is.

Intel is the new factory selected for AoTeng Storage, which is located in Fab 68 in Dalian, China.

The plant is currently dedicated to the production of Intel 3D NAND flash memory, which has been increasing since the start of construction in 2010. However, Fab 68 will be responsible for producing AoTeng storage for Intel, but the specific production time has not been disclosed.

Earlier this year, Intel announced that it is developing the third-generation GT storage. The production time and location are undecided, but the possibility of handing it to Fab 68 is also very large.

Of course,Fab 68 will continue to produce 3D flash memory, and the number of stacked layers will increase. In order to reduce costs, such as the current 64-story and 96-story, it is expected to break through 100 layers soon.
