The new generation of 5G networks will initially be used in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool, and plans to scale up beyond the end of the year. More importantly, Vodafone said its 5G pricing for consumers and businesses will be the same as the current 4G pricing.
After the release, users will be able to choose among four 5G smartphones —— Xiaomi's MIX 3 5G will be released on May 23, Samsung's Galaxy S10 5G will be released later this month, Huawei's Mate 20X 5G and Mate X will be released in June.
In the second half of this year, Vodafone will also begin providing 5G roaming services in other European countries such as Germany, Italy and Spain. The Internet of Things (IoT) is another focus of Vodafone, which will install 5G equipment at the Coventry Ricoh Stadium to provide a better connection experience during sporting events and concerts.
