Wang Xiaochu said that up to now, China Unicom has served in ITU-T, 3GPP, GSMA, ONF and other important international standards organizations and open source communities, leading and jointly leading the completion of a number of international standards, forming a stable team of standardization experts.

Recently, China Unicom officially launched the 5G pilot network of "733 n", that is, to achieve continuous urban coverage in seven mega-cities (regions) in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Xiongan. Xiamen and other 33 major cities to achieve hot area coverage, in n cities to customize the 5G network technical secondary network, while building a variety of industry application scenarios, to promote 5G application incubation and industrial upgrading.

Wang Xiaochu said: China Unicom should continue to promote the integration of 5GA (artificial intelligence) B (big data) C (cloud computing), further promote the building of a strong network power, continue to speed up and reduce fees, transfer networks and telecommunications universal services. We will make due contributions to narrowing the gap between standardization and standardization.

The following is Wang Xiaochu's speech:

In this vigorous early summer, we ushered in the annual industry Festival - World Telecommunications and Information Society Day. On this occasion, on behalf of China Unicom, I would like to extend sincere greetings to our customers, industry chain partners and friends from all walks of life. The theme of this year's World Telecommunications and Information Society Day is "Bridging the Standardization Gap", which aims to call on developing countries to participate in the ITU standard-setting process; create opportunities for experts from all over the world to participate in the standardization process at the national, regional and international levels; and promote the implementation of international standards in developing countries.

In recent years, China Unicom has taken the construction of international first-class telecom operators as its development goal, attached great importance to technological and business innovation, and guided by the actual needs of the existing network and the international standards in core areas. It has made many useful explorations and practices in the international standards of 5G, AI, block chain, edge computing, SDN/NFV, cloud computing, Internet of Things and other core technical fields. Guo Xi people. Up to now, China Unicom has served in ITU-T, 3GPP, GSMA, ONF and other important international standards organizations and open source communities, leading and jointly leading the completion of a number of international standards, forming a stable team of standardization experts. Among them, China Unicom has initially realized the reasonable layout of leading series of standard projects in ITU-T, and the influence and voice power of the industry are increasing year by year.

2019 is the first year of 5G. It is believed that Chinese communication enterprises will make greater contributions to the global 5G mobile communication technology system. Xiamen and other 33 major cities to achieve hot area coverage, customize the 5G network technical secondary network in n cities, at the same time build a variety of industry application scenarios, promote 5G application incubation and industrial upgrading. This marks the confidence and determination of China Unicom to play a fundamental role in the construction of information technology. 5G standard is the smallest generation of technical standard system in the history of mobile communication development and the smallest "standardization gap" in the world. It will also be a generation of mobile communication technology standards that will help the vast number of developing countries bridge the digital divide, accelerate the digital transformation, and keep up with the trend of global information development and change. China Unicom is willing to work with its colleagues in the industry to promote the further maturity of the 5G standard, speed up the construction of a new generation of information infrastructure with high speed, mobility, security and universality, and constantly consolidate the foundation for the development of the digital economy.

2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China, and is also a year for China Unicom to continuously deepen the implementation of the focus strategy, promote the reform of mixed ownership in depth, comprehensively build the "five new" Unicom, and achieve high-quality development. We should deeply grasp the profound changes in the international and domestic telecommunications industry, adhere to the new concept of development, and constantly strengthen the service support for business, technology and talents. We will continue to promote the integration of 5G A (artificial intelligence) B (big data) C (cloud computing), further accelerate the building of a network power, continue to speed up and reduce fees, transfer networks and telecommunications universal services. We will make due contributions to narrowing the gap between standardization and standardization.
