Intel fans like to talk about the mononuclear advantage in the Zen 2 era no longer exists. According to Geekbench's test results, AMD recently released 16-core processorsR9 3950XDefeat Intel's 18-core processors in single-core and multi-core testsI9 9980XEThe former costs $750 and the latter $2000.
R9 3950X scored 5868 in single nucleus and 61072 in multi-nucleus; i9 9980XE scored 5510 and 50705 in single nucleus and multi-nucleus respectively. Geekbench's test shows that the fundamental frequency of R9 3950X is 3.3 GHz and that of 3.5 GHz is 4.7 GHz according to data published by AMD. This may mean that the test uses engineering samples and the performance of the official version may be better. Anandtech recently published a long article.Technical details of AMD Zen 2 micro-architecture are analyzed.。
