When this feature is enabled, Chrome lets users choose various settings to determine how the browser enforces dark mode themes on the site.
The various settings are as follows:
Enabled with simple HSL-based inversion (using simple HSL-based inversion)
Enabled with simple CIELAB-based inversion (using simple CIELAB-based inversion)
Enabled with selective image inversion (selective image inversion)
Enabled with selective inversion of non-image elements (selective inversion of non-image elements)
Enabled with selective inversion of everything
The HSL and CIELAB settings use different algorithms to display colors, which on some sites don't look too good and the color is slightly bad. Test results show that the effect of selectively inverting non-image elements looks the best.
If you want Chrome 78 to force Diablo mode on the websites you visit, you need to enable this new feature by following these steps:
Download and installChrome Canaryversion
Go to chrome://flags
Search for enable-force-dark (force mode is enabled) and an experiment tag titled "Force Dark Mode for Web Contents" will appear
Enable settings as needed, then restart Chrome
To disable this feature, follow the same steps as above.
