Google is working to provide artificial intelligence-based hand tracking for wearables

via:cnBeta.COM     time:2019/8/25 23:30:11     readed:140

The main innovation of the technology is to use traditional algorithms to detect the palm, then use the AI-based model to predict the position of the finger, and name this algorithm code as a cross-platform framework for MediaPiPe.

MediaPipe can map up to 21 points on hands and fingers with up to 96% accuracy and can do everything on the mobile device (ie not in the cloud).

We can imagine that Google will use it on their exclusive device, and the current rumored Pixel 4 already includes a Soli sensor for gesture control. Ideally, the advent of new technologies will make creating a rich AR experience easy and cheap, and create cheap but powerful AR glasses.
