Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineering expert, first discovered Facebook's test of experimental capabilities, which the social media giant later confirmed to TechCrunch. Mixed feeds will allow users to share and view status updates from friends in a round-robin, rather than unlimited post columns.

These posts (including links, photos, videos and sponsored content) are basically the same as traditional News Feed designs, except that users can slide left or right to view them. Other existing interactive functions found in News Feed, such as responses and comments, can also be implemented in a new round-robin format.

Notably, this combination of News Feed and Stories has not yet been made public, and Facebook has not yet disclosed whether it will be made public.
