MediaTek said that 5G is an area of ​​great concern to it. The relevant SoC (system on a chip) will be launched at the end of the year and will be shipped next year. Last year, MediaTek developed the M70 modem, which provides 5G functionality and will be shipped with the CPU as a SoC later this year.

MediaTek's products will be the first to support 5G baseband multimode and up to 5Gbps download speeds. MediaTek has not announced the exact release date of the M70 chipset. Smartphones using this chipset will be available in India in the next two years.
