Amazon KEY Service provides in-car delivery service for Ford Lincoln vehicles

via:cnBeta.COM     time:2019/5/1 6:02:25     readed:721

However, not every car is eligible for this service. First, 2017 or higher supports this service and must be equipped with Ford Motor Company's connected car service. Lincoln vehicles are limited to models of 2018 or later, and owners need to sign up for the Lincoln Link service. Second, it is the location problem. Amazon Car KEY service is only available to users in certain US cities.

Eligible users simply need to make sure that there is enough space in the car to deliver the package. Once all of this is done, the owner needs to download their connected car app, from where the app will need to link to the user's Amazon Prime account, which will enable in-car delivery services. The owner receives a notice before and after delivery and confirms that the vehicle is locked and can block access at any time and can reschedule the parcel delivery date.

Prior to Ford's announcement, Amazon's in-vehicle delivery service was limited to Buick, Cadillac, GMC and Volvo cars. Of course, if people don't want to grant access to their vehicles, Amazon's KEY delivery service can also drop packages in users' homes. Or in the garage.
