ThinkIoT focuses on the Internet of Things

In the IoT solution, Lenovo has added customer-proven, enhanced solutions to the ThinkIoT product ecosystem.

It is understood that the ThinkIoT product portfolio includes ThinkCentre Tiny, the new ThinkCentre NanoIoT, EPC300 and other edge computing devices and a range of sensing devices, including high-performance smart cameras, motion-sensing lights, machine vision cash registers, face recognition devices. These devices are capable of quickly acquiring and transmitting information, enabling localized intelligent decisions in marginal areas such as warehouses and showrooms.

From consulting and equipment deployment to helping employees improve their skills and conduct predictive analytics, Lenovo Solution Architects are crafting complex, integrated services, software and devices. The doctor uses the augmented reality glasses to view the X-ray image on the cloud platform; after the warehouse operator picks up the product, the high-performance sensor camera (see below) can identify whether the box product is placed by the QR code on the label within 200 milliseconds. On the appropriate pallet racks – all of this can be done with ThinkIoT's warehouse automation solution.

Automated computer vision cash registers are also of great value to retailers. Currently, the prototype of the product is being tested as a pilot project at Lenovo Beijing Park. This smart retail solution integrates the camera, processor and sensor to allow shop assistants to scan all the items in the store at once, eliminating the need to check barcodes one by one. In addition, it measures all purchased items, provides feedback to suppliers, and has a virtual wallet payment channel.
