UpgradingWindowsAfter 10 Version 1903, some careful players found that the "Variable refresh rate" option was added to the "Graphics Settings" page. This function can optimize screen and graphics card settings for specific games.
By default, the function is turned off. The purpose of this function is to provide a variable refresh rate for those games that are not supported natively, to improve the screen refresh rate and thus reduce the screen tear. However, this feature should be targeted at applications and games on Microsoft Store, and those classic games should not be within the scope of this feature.
Microsoft explained: "By enabling variable refresh rates for games that are not natively supported, screen tearing can be reduced and higher frame rates can be allowed. You may need to restart the game for the changes to take effect. It is worth noting that this option may not appear on some devices. In Microsoft's official support community, PCs with user feedback using NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards did not see this option.
