SpaceX says 57 of its 60 broadband data satellites are communicating with ground stations, and its Internet satellite constellation StarlinkReady to enter the testing phaseThe test was carried out through satellite streaming video and live game broadcasting.
SpaceX says most satellites are in place and will start transmitting broadband signals, testing signal latency and bandwidth capacity through streaming video and live games requiring high bandwidth.
According to SpaceX, Starlink is the first non-geosynchronous satellite orbital system to work in Ku band and communicate with ground stations. The demo system has the potential to provide fast and reliable network services around the world. Its competitor OneWeb accused SpaceX of being irresponsible, saying that its use of Ku-band communications would interfere with its previous Internet satellites.
