FDA ordered 44 electronic cigarette products to be removed from the U.S. Market

According to the FDA, the following companies illegally sell various electronic cigarette products, which means that they have not obtained the listing license of the agency: liquid Labs USA, V8P Juice International, Hookah Imports and Mighty Vapors. The notice covers products such as Hulk Tears and V8P Saltz.

These companies were asked to respond to the FDA within 15 working days and provide information about their plans to stop distributing or selling applicable products. Dr. Ned Sharpless, Acting Director of FDA, said:

We are committed to continuing to use all available regulatory tools to identify disturbing trends in teenagers'use of e-cigarettes to ensure that these products are not purchased or used by teenagers. Crucially, we must remain vigilant in our efforts to prevent the increase in e-cigarette-driven adolescent use and nicotine addiction, which may erase the years of progress we have made in preventing adolescents from using tobacco products.

Because health officials are concerned about the unknown long-term consequences of e-cigarettes, the agency is cracking down on e-cigarette products. Although e-cigarettes are considered to be less harmful than cigarettes to a large extent, many studies have raised concerns about potential health consequences caused by pollution and certain flavors of e-cigarettes.
