Based on this,MicrosoftDecides to extend the support period of Exchange Server 2010 from 14 January 2020 to 13 October 2020 in order to provide more time for older users to complete the migration.

After that, Microsoft will no longer provide extended technology support for related products, which means that there are no bugs and security vulnerabilities to fix, as well as follow-up functional updates. Customers who are still using old products will be more vulnerable to security vulnerabilities.

In addition, in a blog post, the company warnedWindowsUsers of Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 consider their future network security, as Exchange Server 2010 also runs on this basis.

For troublesome customers, Microsoft recommends that they use free FastTrack services to migrate more easily toOffice365 and Exchange Online. In order to access the most secure and efficient software with the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO), and avoid the "big bang" caused by version upgrade.

Finally, Microsoft reminds Exchange 2010 that it cannot upgrade directly to Exchange Server 2019. For customers in need, consider upgrading to Exchange 2013 or Exchange 2016.
