Recently, China's first 5g low orbit broadband satellite with a communication capacity of 10Gbps was officially delivered, which is also the world's first low orbit broadband satellite in Q / V band. The satellite is the first satellite independently developed by China's commercial aerospace company Galaxy aerospace, and also the first 200 kg satellite developed by China's commercial aerospace company. A single satellite can cover 300000 square kilometers, equivalent to the area of about 50 Shanghai cities, with an orbit height of 1200 km. It is expected to be launched in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, in this year, using the fast boat series carrier rocket developed by Aerospace Science and engineering Rocket Company.

The state of satellite leaving the factory is an important stage of satellite development, which marks that the hardware and software of the satellite are all in the solidified state. The successful leaving of Galaxy space's first satellite means that the first domestic low orbit broadband satellite with communication capacity of 10Gbps has entered a stable and reliable technical state for ground test and is ready to be launched.

Although the 5g era has begun, the global network coverage is facing a huge challenge. It is difficult for the ground base station to cover all regions such as desert and ocean. Low orbit broadband communication satellite can solve the problem of global network coverage and access, which is expected to make 4 billion people in the global information poverty enjoy the network world.

In recent years, oneweb and SpaceX, the American commercial aerospace companies, have taken the lead in the layout of LEO communication constellation. In the design of communication bandwidth, Galaxy Aerospace benchmarking is the leading technology in the world, and it is the first time to realize the international 10Gbps communication capability of technology benchmarking on domestic Leo broadband satellites.

Xu Ming, chairman and CEO of Galaxy aerospace, said that from the first star, Galaxy Aerospace will step out of the first step of "space Internet". In the future, Galaxy Aerospace will build a space Internet, bridge the digital Honggou, and connect 5g satellite network to every corner of the earth through large-scale R & D and production of low-cost and high-performance 5g satellites.
