Apple device warranty extended during the outbreak

Apple has sent an internal letter to a domestic authorized service provider to extend the warranty period for Apple's equipment during the outbreak, according to feedback from its users. If the equipment warranty of the affected customer expires after January 1,2020, then please provide one-time warranty exception for the customer.

The following is Apple's internal letter to authorized domestic service providers:

Due to the consideration of public health and health prevention, as well as the limited service options in the near future, some customers may encounter delay when they need to send the equipment for repair. For customers affected by the recent temporary closure of the store, please apologize for the inconvenience caused and help the customer to solve the problem.

If the equipment warranty of the affected customer expires after January 1,2020, then please provide one-time warranty exception for the customer. Unexpected damage is not covered by the exception to this maintenance service.

The one-time warranty exception is provided to customers in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao. It is valid until March 31, 2020, and the guarantee scope is consistent with the original product warranty.
