According to the latest research report released by strategy analytics, global shipments of foldable smartphones will grow from less than 1 million in 2019 to 100 million in 2025.Samsung, Huawei and other manufacturers will lead the market. At present, high pricing, low screen production yield and consumers' doubts about durability limit the development of folding mobile phone market, but in the long run, these problems will be solved.
Neil Mawston, executive director of Strategy Analytics, added:" Foldable products incorporate large screens into small designs. Consumers can browse the richness of videos on larger screens, and folded devices can be easily put into their pockets.
Ville-Petteri Ukonaho, Deputy Director of Strategy Analytics, added:" For now, there are many hurdles in the foldable smartphone industry that need to be overcome, including very high prices, the low yield of display screens and consumer doubts about whether hinges or screens will last for longer than a few months. However, the technical problems of foldable products are not insurmountable, and we hope to solve these problems in the next few years.
