In the fourth quarter of 2019, homepod shipments increased 65% year-on-year, from 1.6 million units to 2.6 million units, accounting for 4.7% of the market share, thanks to large discounts offered by retailers such as best buy.
Although Apple initially sold the homepod for $349 and last year cut its price to $299, retailers typically sold it for $199 throughout the holiday season.
