MediaTek just announced the Helio p95 chipset on its official website. From the point of view of naming rules, please focus on the current iterative upgrade of 4G / LTE flagship SOC.In addition, the eight-core@2.2GHz chip has a new generation of AI processor units (APU 2.0), claiming to improve the testing benchmark for previous-generation products in AI.
As the company's latest 4G / LTE SOC solution, Helio p95 has some impressive connection specifications:
It includes Wi Fi 5 / Bluetooth 5.0, cat 12 downlink / cat 13 uplink, 4 x 4 MIMO, volte / vilte, 71 band and 4G Dual SIM card.
On the CPU side, Helio P95 uses a combination of 2× Cortex-A75(2.2 GHz)6× Cortex-A55(2.0 GHz) kernels.
On the GPU side, this SoC integrates Imagination Power VRGM94446(specific parameters are missing) and can be matched with a display of 2520×1080.
In addition, the benchmark performance of AI is about 10% higher than that of the previous generation, APU 2.0. Unfortunately, in 2020, when Wi Fi 6 and 5g become more popular, such specifications are somewhat outdated.
In terms of image, Helio P95 supports 64MP master/24MP16MP dual photography, and the triple image processor (ISP) can cope with 14-bit raw and AI camera enhancements.
It includes ai-nr low light photography mode, 5-person pose tracking, multi object and scene recognition, and AI depth engine.
In terms of games, Helio p95 has the hyperengine acceleration engine of MediaTek, which can reduce the delay of GPU rendering to the display channel by up to 60%, improve the power efficiency during games, CPU / GPU / RAM management and base station connection enhancement.
Unfortunately, at present, no OEM has announced the launch of a new smart machine based on the MTK Helio p95 platform.
