35W 4900hs provides 8-core, 16 thread design and 3.0 GHz clock speed, which can be increased to 4.3 GHz. 45W 4900h has a basic operating frequency of 3.3 GHz, which can be increased to 4.4 GHz at most. Amd has not yet provided the opportunity for testers to benchmark the system.

Amd also claims that when 4900hs is used with NVIDIA RTX 2060 max-q GPU, the frame rate can exceed 60 frames per second in many AAA games, including Tomb Raider: Rise (104 FPS), killer (90 FPS) and island 5 (90 FPS).

AMD's ryzen 4000 series also includes the ryzen U series designed for ultra portable laptops, as well as other members of the ryzen H series - the six core ryzen 5 4600h and the eight core ryzen 7 4800h. Lisa Su, AMD's chief executive, said at CES 2020 that the chips are twice as efficient as the second generation ryzen chips.
