In the afternoon of May 13, Tencent released the first quarter performance report of 2020. In 2020, Q1 Tencent's revenue was 108.065 billion, up 26% year on year; its net profit was 27.079 billion, up 29% year on year, higher than the market expectation.

According to the financial report, as of March 31, 2020, the number of combined monthly active accounts of wechat and wechat was 1.2025 billion, up 8.2% year-on-year and 3.2% month on month.

Wechat is further integrated into daily life services through small programs, especially in the purchase of daily necessities and livelihood services. This has led to the rapid growth of APP users, with more than 400 million daily active accounts.

The number of QQ monthly active accounts was 693.5 million, compared with 70000 million in the same period last year, a year-on-year decrease of 1.0% and a month on month increase of 7.2%.

In the first quarter of 2020, the revenue of Tencent's value-added services increased by 27% year on year to 62.429 billion yuan. Online game revenue increased by 31% to 37.298 billion yuan.

This increase mainly reflects the income contribution of domestic smartphone games (including "peace elite" and "King glory") and the increase of overseas games (including "pubgmobile" and "clash of Clans"), partially offset by the decline of income of PC client games (such as "dungeons and Warriors").

In the first quarter of 2020, the total revenue of smartphone games (including the revenue of smartphone games attributable to our social network business) and the revenue of PC client games are respectively RMB three hundred and forty-seven point five six 100 million yuan and RMB one hundred and seventeen point nine five Billion yuan.

Social network revenue increased 23% to 25.131 billion yuan. The growth was driven by increased revenue contribution from sales of game virtual props and digital content services, including music streaming and video streaming subscriptions.

In addition, the number of subscription accounts for Tencent's charging value-added services increased by 19% to 197 million, mainly driven by the increase in the number of subscription accounts for video and music services.

Among them, the number of Tencent video subscription accounts increased to 112 million, a year-on-year increase of 26%; the number of music service members increased by 50% to 43 million.

On March 18 of this year, Tencent released its 2019 financial report, which showed that Tencent Holdings' annual revenue in 2019 was 377.289 billion yuan, compared with 312.694 billion yuan in the same period of last year; its annual net profit was 93.31 billion yuan, compared with 78.719 billion yuan in the same period of last year.
