In the early morning of this morning, NVIDIA released its first quarter financial report of fiscal year 2021,NVIDIA's first quarter revenue was $3.08bn, up 39% year on year, and net profit was $917m, up 133% year on year.NVIDIA also disclosed the highlights of each business line in the financial statements.
1. Game business
Revenue was $1.34 billion, up 27% year-on-yea; and Microsoft released minecraft for RTX; over 100 new laptops announced n-card; DLSS 2.0; expanded NVIDIA geforce now game lineup, and the businessTwo million new users have been added since it was launched in February.
2. Data Centre
Revenue reached US $1.14 billion, up 80% year on year; launched A100 computing card based on ampere core, DGX A100 computing workstation, egx A100 and egx Jetson Xavier NX, NVIDIA Jarvis framework and other products.
3. Automobile business
The revenue is US $155 million, down 7% year on year. The new Xiaopeng P7 will be equipped with NVIDIA drive AgX platform and drive operating system, which can provide L3 level automatic driving ability.
4. epidemic related
donating $10 million to people affected by the epidemic; accelerated promotion and salary increases for employees; released a AI model in collaboration with the national institutes of health to help researchers detect COVID-19; join the white house's COVID-19 high-performance computing alliance in lung scans; and provided researchers studying COVID related topics with a 90-day free NVIDIA Parabricks license.
