According to hardwareluxx, someone in their forum gave a screenshot of the BIOS version number of b550 motherboard, and the name of comboam4 V2 appeared. Its version number did not follow the current 18.104.22.168 of comboam4, but jumped back to 22.214.171.124. Even on the b550 motherboard that hasn't been officially released, the agesa version difference has appeared. One MAG b550 Tomahawk uses comboam4 V2 126.96.36.199, while another Gigabyte b550 aorus master uses 188.8.131.52.
At present, it is not known why AMD will launch a new version of V2 and reset the version number. It is also not known whether it is a special version of agesa launched separately for b550, and whether x570 will update agesa to V2 in the future. The above questions need to be answered by the official in the future. In a word, the introduction of V2 version of agesa will make consumers feel confused. However, ordinary consumers should follow the motherboard manufacturers, and there is no need to care about so many things.
