Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box recently ushered in a major update, introducing much-anticipated HDR10 and Dolby Vision support. the lamps and accessories of philips Hue product line are designed by Signify( original name philips lighting, company renamed in 2018), while Hue Play HDMI Sync Box allows Hue users to synchronize with home entertainment systems.
One of Hue Play HDMI Sync Box main complaints since its launch last September has been the lack of support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Hue users want to watch HDR10 and Dolby Vision content, they need to create lighting effects by passthrough, but can not detect content.
Today's update also brings Alexa, Google assistant, and Siri voice control features that allow users of hue sync to turn sync box on or off using voice commands, start or stop light synchronization, switch from audio mode to game or video mode, and switch HDMI channels.
