Just hours after President trump signed an executive order against social networking sites, twitter tagged one of Trump's tweets "glorify violence.".At 12:53 a.m. EDT (12:53 p.m. Beijing time) on Friday, trump commented on the Minneapolis riots, saying, "when the robbery started, it was time to shoot."
About two hours after trump posted the tweet, twitter put a warning label on it. Twitter said the president's comments on the Minneapolis protests glorified the violence, in violation of Twitter's rules.
Now, Trump's tweet has been hidden and replaced by Twitter's warning message. Users can't see Trump's tweet until they click the "view" link next to it.
Just hours before Twitter's move, trump had just issued an executive order against social networking sites that would not allow them to manually select what people could see or express. In addition, these social networking sites are responsible for the content published by users.
On Tuesday, twitter "took action" on trump for the first time, placing a series of "tweets" with the warning label of "fact checking". On Wednesday, trump responded by claiming to regulate or shut down social media companies. (Li Ming)
