At the annual WWDC developers' conference, apple always ridicules the adaptation rate of the new version of Android. Although Android updates have improved significantly in the past two or three years, there is still a lot of room for improvement. one of the reasons for the slow update of Android system is the difference of upgrade power between Android manufacturers and Google. Manufacturers obviously have the final say, such as the timing and size of Android updates to be pushed.howeverThe upcoming Android 11 update will force OEMs to deploy virtual A / B systemsTo achieve more seamless and faster updates.

However, in the upcoming Android 11 update, virtual A / B will be introduced, which promises to combine the speed of a / b OTA with the space saving of traditional OTA services. This uses the same concept as the former, but since it is virtual, the partitioned space can be freely resized as needed. In fact, the feature is already available on Android 10, but will be mandatory for all OEMs in the upcoming Android 11.

This means that the mobile phone manufacturers represented by Samsung must realize virtual A / b. Although this does not guarantee that they can test the update faster, at least there is a mandatory update framework, which can release updates faster and reduce the waiting time of users.
