AMD's first thread Ripper Pro Series is basically no secret. Videocardz today disclosed all the models and specifications of the thread Ripper Pro Series, which is much higher than the existing thread Ripper series. It has basically touched the Xiaolong series.
The existing thread rippers are mainly for hot game players, game live broadcast, video editing, etc., and provide 24 core, 32 core and 64 core configurations. The memory supports four channel ddr4-3200, and supports ECC error checking. However, it is only limited to the desktop level udimm specification, with a maximum capacity of 256gb, and supports up to 64 pcie4.0 buses.
Thread Ripper Pro Series provides four configurations of 12 / 16 / 32 / 64 cores (instead of 24 cores) for professional studios, designers, engineers, data scientists and other professionals. The memory is open to a complete 8-channel ddr4-3200. It also takes all kinds of specifications, such as udimm, rdimm, lpdimm, 3ds rdimm, etc., with a maximum capacity of 2TB, PCIe The 4.0 bus is also opened to 128 complete lines, and the thermal design power consumption is still maintained at 280W.
In addition, since the name of Pro is attached, it willSupport additional amd Pro Technology, involving security, management, business and other aspects.
Thread Ripper Pro Series has four models:
- thread Ripper Pro 3995wx:
64 core 128 threads, the main frequency is 2.7-4.2ghz, the second level cache is 32MB, and the third level cache is 256MB. 200 / 100MHz lower than 3990x.
- thread Ripper Pro 3975wx:
32 cores and 64 threads, the main frequency is 3.5-4.2ghz, the second level cache is 16MB, and the third level cache is 128MB. 200 / 300MHz lower than 3970x.
- thread Ripper Pro 3955wx:
It has 16 cores and 32 threads, the main frequency is 3.9-4.3ghz, the second level cache is 8MB, and the third level cache is 64MB.
- thread Ripper Pro 3945wx:
It has 12 cores and 24 threads, the main frequency is 4.0-4.3ghz, the second level cache is 6MB, and the third level cache is 64MB.
Although the mainstream thread Ripper has 12 cores and 16 cores, it is obviously not as good as thread Ripper in memory and PCIe support. For professionals, the pro series of thread rippers is obviously more powerful.
Thread Ripper Pro Series will be released on the 14th, the price is unknown.
