Japanese operators KDDI and Softbank have started selling oppo's 5g smartphones. It is reported that oppo's flagship 5g mobile phones, find x2 pro and reno3 5g, will be on sale on July 22 and 31, respectively. The former is in KDDI Omni channel, while the latter is in Softbank Omni channel.
After Huawei, oppo is also another Chinese manufacturer that has entered the 5g smartphone market in Japan. All along, the Japanese mobile phone market is mainly dominated by operators. Therefore, if you want to make a success in this market, you must have close cooperation with operators.
For this, OPPO vice president and global sales president Wu Qiang said:
Since entering Japan in 2018, oppo has released a number of smart phone products. In October 2019, oppo created the first customized product oppo Reno a for the Japanese market. According to the needs of the Japanese market, it added IP67 dust-proof and waterproof function and felica mobile payment function, which was loved by Japanese consumers.
Thanks to the in-depth cooperation with local operators in 5g era, oppo hopes to further enhance the brand awareness of oppo in Japan's mainstream market and bring high-quality technology experience to more consumers.
