2、 Charger appearance
Huawei 65W Gan dual port super fast charging charger is all white and bright with smooth transition treatment at the corners, which adds a lot of points to the appearance of the charger.
In terms of output interface configuration, it has a usb-c output port and a usb-a output port. Usb-a is purple tongue. According to Huawei's previous practice, chargers with purple tongue support SCP fast charging. We will test it later.
The front arc corner and back are straight face design to increase the recognition.
The folding pin design can be used to store the pins when going out to avoid scratching with luggage, which is convenient for travel users.
Take a look at the parameters at the bottom of the charger, most of which are consistent with those on the packing box, so we will not repeat them. In addition, the product model is p0005.
3、 Volume, weight and comparison
The length of charger measured by caliper is about 46.34mm.

Compared with Huawei 65W Gan fast charging, the side area of the charger is slightly larger than that of the one yuan coin.
By comparing the sizes of Huawei 65W Gan charger and Huawei super fast charging multi protocol charger (max 65W), it can be seen that even if it is a multi port charger, the former is still smaller than the latter.
Connect Huawei 65W Gan charger andApple61W chargers together to compare the size, you can see that the whole charger is much smaller than Apple's 61W charger.
Apple 30W charger is also included in the comparison. It is found that the three chargers are Huawei 65W gallium nitride charger, apple 30W charger and apple 61W charger.
4、 Wire display
There are also charging wires in the packing box, and the wires are bound with translucent plastic film, which can ensure the integrity of the wires and avoid confusion. At the same time, it also helps users to integrate the wires and make them easy to use.
The diameter of the wire is 3.04mm.
The end-to-end length of the wire is about 101cm.
The two connectors are both usb-c, the color of the terminal head is white, and there is 5A parameter identification at the connection of the net tail.

Read the usb-c interface fast charging protocol, and support qc2.0, FCP, SCP, pd3.0 fast charging protocol.
Read the PDO message of usb-c interface, support 5V 3a, 9V 3a, 12V 3a, 15V 3a, 20V 3a, and also support a group of PPS gears: 5.5-21v 3.00a.
Read the fast charging protocol of usb-a interface, and support qc2.0, FCP, SCP fast charging protocol.
6、 Compatibility test
1. Usb-c (white)
Huawei mate 30 supports SCP, FCP and USB PD fast charging protocols, and uses usb-c to charge Huawei P30 pro with power of 8.83v 2.84a 25.16w.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max supports USB PD and apple 2.4a fast charging protocol, and uses usb-c to charge the iPhone 11 Pro max with the power of 9.05v 2.51a 22.78w.
The switch host supports USB PD fast charging protocol, and uses usb-c to charge the switch host. The power is 14.92v 1.03a 15.43w.
Huawei matebook 13 supports USB PD fast charging protocol and uses usb-c to charge Huawei matebook 13 with power of 19.90v 2.82a 56.16w.
The MacBook Pro 13 supports USB PD fast charging protocol, and uses usb-c to charge the MacBook Pro 13 with a power of 19.872.77a and 55.18w.
The data are sorted into a bar chart. Naturally, Huawei matebook 13 and two macbooks rank the highest, with power above 50W; in addition to switch base, the last ones are vivo X50 pro, oppo reno3 pro and Meizu 16th plus, with power below 10W.
2. Usb-a (purple)
Huawei P40 Pro supports SCP, FCP and USB PD fast charging protocols. Usb-a is used to charge Huawei P40 pro with a power of 9.32v 3.89a 36.31w.
The iPhone 11 Pro supports USB PD and apple 2.4a fast charging protocol, and uses usb-a to charge the iPhone 11 pro with the power of 5.26v 0.98a 5.16w.
Samsung S20 ultra 5g mobile phone supports PPS, AFC and USB PD fast charging protocols. Usb-a is used to charge Samsung S20 ultra 5g mobile phone with the power of 8.93v 1.57a 14.03w.
In order to facilitate your reference, we also put all the test data of usb-a interface into the table. Most devices can be charged. The power of Huawei's three flagship mobile phones are all above 30W, and Meizu 17 Pro is also good, with the power of 23.54w, and the power of other devices is below 20W.

8、 Temperature rise
Thanks to the successful mass production and commercial use of Gan power devices, the miniaturization of high-power chargers has been realized, so that consumers can enjoy this new era of technology. Many readers are very concerned about the calorific value of gallium nitride chargers. Therefore, we have joined the temperature rise test, but first of all, we should understand a few knowledge of temperature rise test.
The heat of charger is related to power density, efficiency value, internal scheme design, ambient temperature, etc. products with low power density have enough space for component layout separation due to their large volume, so the surface temperature will be lower, but the volume is often very large. The products with high power density often adopt the design of vertical plug-in board component stack, which makes the charger as small as possible for users to carry. Theoretically, the temperature will be hotter than the product with low power density.
In addition, the heating of single port charger is different from that of multi port charger due to different circuit design. Single port charger belongs to AC to DC direct output mode, while multi port charger is AC to DC to DC. After secondary voltage drop, the calorific value of single port charger is higher than that of single port charger.
As a reference, in the one hour full load test, the full load temperature of low power density Gan charger is generally between 60-70 degrees, while that of high power density single port Gan charger is generally about 70 degrees, and the temperature of multi port Gan charger with high power density generally exceeds 70 degrees.
The temperature rise of Huawei 65W 1a1c Gan charger is tested. The test conditions are as follows: the test is conducted in a constant temperature box with a temperature of about 25 ℃ and a power output of 20V 3.25a 65W for one hour. Before charging, the maximum temperature of charger is 35.0 ℃.
One hour later, the current maximum temperature was 86.1 ℃, and the temperature increased by 61.1 ℃. The high temperature was concentrated on the top of the charger, which was relatively uniform.
Looking at the other side, the current maximum temperature is 90.3 ℃, and the temperature has increased by about 65.3 ℃. The high temperature is concentrated on the top of the charger, which is relatively uniform.
Summary of temperature rise test
The one hour full load temperature rise link is used to test the heating condition of the charger under the condition of extreme use. The power of digital devices such as mobile phones, tablet and power bank is not large, and the temperature rise will be more moderate, while the power of notebook charging will decrease with the gradual saturation of power, and the heating will also be reduced synchronously.
At present, the national standard requires that the surface temperature of the charger should not be higher than 95 degrees. The maximum test temperature of Huawei's multi port 65W Gan charger is lower than that of the national standard, which meets the safety standards.
9、 Load test
1. Maximum output power
EB program-controlled electronic load was used to test the maximum output power of Huawei 65W 1a1c Gan charger. The maximum output was 19.63v 3.00a 58.9w with 0.1A current step amplitude and 10 seconds interval.
2. Continuous output stability
According to the rated power 20V 3A full load stability test, the test time is one hour, the voltage value in the test process is horizontal straight line, no obvious fluctuation, long-term full load is also very stable.
10、 Charging measurement
Huawei 65W 1a1c Gan charger supports up to 65W power output, with a usb-c output interface and a usb-a output interface. At the same time, the output is fast charging output. Therefore, the small editor simulates the daily use of the charger to test the charging process of Huawei matebook and Huawei P40 pro at the same time.
Usb-c (white) is used to charge Huawei matebook. At the beginning, the 20V 2A charging gear is shaken. Before 47 minutes, the voltage, current and power platform are in stable input state; then the current drops below 2a and the temperature lasts for about 5 minutes; after 52 minutes, the power decreases with the gradual decrease of current until the end of charging. The whole process takes about 2 hours, and the maximum power is 19.61v 2.81a 55.25W。
Next, let's look at the usb-a (purple) for Huawei P40 In the case of Pro charging, 7 minutes ago, the voltage stabilized at 5V and the current fluctuated up and down in 2A; after 7 minutes, the voltage dropped to 4V and gradually increased, and the current temperature was about 2A; after 1 hour and 50 minutes, the current decreased to 1.3A; after 1 hour and 55 minutes, the voltage increased to 5V and the current increased to about 2A; then the power and current gradually decreased until the end of charging, and the whole process took about 2 hours The maximum power is 5.18v 2.1a 10.92w.
11、 Ripple test
Most of the chargers (power adapter) of digital products on the market are DC output chargers, which are obtained through AC rectification, filtering, voltage stabilization and other links. The periodic and random clutter signal in the output voltage will fluctuate rapidly and slightly, just like water ripple, so it is called ripple.
For chargers with different designs and materials, the filtering degree is different, and the ripple size is also different. Therefore, the ripple test is added to the charging head network to facilitate users to know the ripple test parameters of test products.
Huawei 65W 1a1c gallium nitride charger has been tested for no-load and heavy load ripple under the condition of 100V 60Hz AC input. The test results are as follows:

Summary of ripple test

12、 No load test
The power meter test shows that the current and power are both zero when the charger is not plugged in.
