Last week, NVIDIA released a new high-performance graphics card RTX 3080, which was in short supply as soon as it came into the market.NVIDIA apologized publicly on Monday, local time, saying it was dealing with the matter.

However, almost all RTX 3080 cards sold by major U.S. retailers were sold out within minutes after they were put on the shelves, while third-party sellers on e-commerce platforms were selling their limited number of cards at high prices.

It is reported that,The RTX 3080 video card starts at $699, and third-party sellers on Amazon's platform even sell graphics cards at a high price of $5000 per card,Some of them also use Amazon's built-in email notification system to inform players interested in RTX 3080.

Under normal circumstances, Amazon users can set the arrival reminder for products that are currently out of stock. But some users have received email reminders that some sellers have set the price of the RTX 3080 video card at $2999.

At present, there is no price information on Amazon's official NVIDIA RTX 3080 product page.

Things are bad on eBay, too. Some RTX 3080 video cards have been fired for thousands of dollars. Some eBay users even listed pictures of $472 on eBay in retaliation for scalpers buying

Of course, there are still a lot of RTX 3080 products on eBay that look real, hundreds of dollars higher than the recommended retail price. It's not clear whether these items are available, but unless NVIDIA makes up for this by increasing retailers' inventory, sales of new graphics cards will remain a mess.
