According to reports, Philippine President duterte told the outside world on Monday that Facebook could not stop the goals of his government. In addition, Duterte shouted to the social media giant to clarify the purpose of operating in the Philippines.
Before Duterte's remarks, Facebook took action on 22 September to dismantle a network of fraudulent accounts related to the Philippines. Facebook linked some of these false accounts to the Philippine military and police, although both have denied being holders of these accounts.
Facebook said the fake accounts were withdrawn because they were involved in "coordinated untrue behavior.".
